Des Moines-West experiencing reduced foreclosure rates

A December 31 article of Business Record stated that foreclosure rates in Des Moines-West were reduced in the fourth quarter of 2014.

In the recent data released by real estate information firm CoreLogic, mortgage loans recorded in Des Moines-West in October 2014 was only 1.01 percent, a 0.76 percent decrease compared to the same month in 2013. In the whole nation, foreclosure activity rate in Des Moines-West was low last October, including mortgage delinquency, compared to October 2013.

Hip hop tycoon’s foreclosed home goes to auction

Record label co-founder Joaquin “Waah” Dean’s house in Suffern, New York will be auctioned off this September, lohud.com reported on August 29.

Dean is the co-founder of Ruff Ryders Indy, and is largely credited for introducing artists like DMX, Eve, and Swizz Beatz to the scene. Reports said Dean’s home on Cherry Lane was foreclosed after defaulting on his $787,500 mortgage. The 4,350 square-foot house includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and is situated inside the 2.27-acre property. Aside from the foreclosure auction, Dean has suffered other financial problem after losing more than $200,000 from 2011 to 2012. The auction will be held at Rockland County Courthouse on September 25.
